hope I am wrong

All the media coverage of the Plame/Wilson/Rove kerfuffle along with the incessant coverage of the Holloway in Aruba story reminds me of a couple years ago...
Does anyone remember Chandra Levy and Gary Condit? We had wall to wall coverage all summer of their alleged affair, and who she hung out with in high school, and what type of guy he is, etc....that was the summer of 2001.

Then something happened right after labor day that snapped everyone back to reality...

The media has finally learned something from politicians. Use sensational events (such as holding an emergency meeting of congress late at night to "save Shaivo"), rather than focussing on or dealing with real national problems. If there was something done illegally, it should be covered, and something should be done, but I don't think that's as serious of an issue as say, the bombings in London. Then again, no Americans were killed in the London bombing, so we can't sensationalize that, because it isn't close enough to home.

It kinda annoys me. Can ya tell?

wow, you are cynical....I like that.

Frankly, I would like the politicians to do as little as possible about the "real national problems" the more they get involved the worse it gets....I like it when neither party is able to change anything, I like my government uninvolved, I don't want them in my business or my bedroom or paycheck or "social services" or education or (you get my point....

Well, now knowing who I am, then you probably understand why I am hiding my true identity....

I know that you'll understand.

BTW, I was thinking of a poker game soon...just to let you know...

WOW identities being kept safe in a thread about identities not being kept safe...okay

This Rove thing is really really old. We're at war and I haven't heard any talk show like rush, hannity, etc mention any news about it. Thats sad. I have an unanswered curiousity...why do you figure that a year ago, Bush said he would "fire anyone who leaked information". Now I just heard him say recently that no one would work in his administration that "violated the law."
